Duties:
Receives direction for upper level administrative staff. Participate in assigned administrative support functions in various specialized departmental programs; attend departmental division meetings and events.
Provide assistance involving conducting research for a wide range of municipal policies involving organization, procedures, finance, and services.
Participate in the preparation and administration of assigned budget(s), maintain and monitor appropriate budget controls, prepare purchase requisitions and process purchase orders for payment.
Implement procedures to track funds and requisitions.
Prepare and maintain financial and personnel records.
Prepare reports and provide training as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Three years of increasing accounting and budgeting experience, preferably within a local government environment, including one year of supervisory responsibility.
Equivalent to a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT, APPLICANT RECOMMENDED FOR EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A URINALYSIS AND/OR BLOOD TEST TO SCREEN FOR ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUG ABUSE.
