What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Analyst position at City of London Investment Management?
This position is in the Operations Department (back office) of a growing global investment management firm. In this role you will be a member of the team that is responsible for the following:
- Processing of daily trading activity
- Analysis of data transmissions to improve efficiency and risk controls
- Critical data set up in the primary trading systems of the firm
- Working with various third party vendors, such as custodians, brokers, and auditors
- Daily problem resolution and end user support
- Reviewing and updating relevant documentation involving the firm’s systems and business processes
- Project work as assigned, including involvement with the development team to implement custom software improvements
Qualifications:
- Information Systems, Finance, and/or Accounting background is a plus
- 0-2 years’ experience in the Securities Industry is a plus
- Understanding of the Securities Industry is a plus
- Outstanding verbal and written communications; Communications and Liberal Arts minors/majors is a plus
- Ability to manage various tasks and meet deadlines
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to complete the workload in an accurate and timely manner
- Problem solving skills
