The City of Martinsburg is now accepting applications for the position of full-time Planning Technician. The Planning Technician generally requires, at a minimum, the completion of an associate's degree in urban planning, architecture, construction management, social sciences or related field or two years of experience in planning and zoning administration or public administration.
The Planning Technician is an entry-level professional and technical position that assists in the daily operations of the Planning Department. The Planning Technician devotes a significant amount of time on administrative tasks and will be heavily involved in customer service on planning issues. The Planning Technician may be asked to perform basic professional-level duties of limited complexity and will assist in the administration and enforcement of the City’s land development codes and comprehensive plan.

This position is a pay grade 12 with a minimum starting salary of $36,096 annually. Offer contingent upon qualifications and experience.
