### Correctional Officer

#### Duties:
- Maintain security and control of the facility
- Supervise and monitor inmates' activities, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations
- Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas for contraband
- Respond to emergencies and maintain order during incidents
- Write reports on incidents, disciplinary actions, and inmate behavior
- Escort inmates to and from various locations within the facility
- Monitor CCTV cameras to ensure safety and security

#### Experience:
- Previous experience in conflict management or law enforcement preferred
- First aid and CPR certification required
- Familiarity with report writing procedures
- Knowledge of correctional policies and procedures
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

#### Skills:
- Conflict management: Ability to deescalate tense situations and resolve conflicts peacefully
- First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid techniques to provide immediate medical assistance if needed
- CCTV: Experience operating closed-circuit television systems for surveillance purposes
- Report writing: Proficiency in documenting incidents, writing clear and concise reports
- CPR: Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for emergency medical response
- Law enforcement: Understanding of laws, regulations, and procedures related to corrections
- Certificate: Possession of a valid correctional officer certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Militarize: Ability to adapt to a structured environment similar to military settings
