What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Monitor position at City of Midland?
Monitors programs, activities and facilities rentals at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center along with community-wide programs. Performs responsibilities efficiently and effectively, promoting a positive image of the City of Midland. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Monitors youth recreation activities to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Opens, supervises and closes facilities as needed.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Provides written and oral reports to Recreation Coordinator as needed.
- Performs related work as required by Recreation Coordinator.
- Works weekends and evenings.
- Monitor the building and hours are flexible. Hours are between 10 am - 12 am
- Performs other related duties as required.
Ability to sit, stand and transport self from building to building. Ability to drive a vehicle to and from various work-sites. Ability to work in various temperature conditions.
Employee communicates with other employees in the work group and may respond to questions from the general public regarding services or specific projects.
High school diploma or equivalent, prefer College students enrolled in Parks, Recreation or similar program that can demonstrate interest in profession. Valid Texas driver's license is required
