CCC Position Description
During Building Coordinator (BC) shifts, teammates assist in the daily operations of the facility, including room set-up and tear-down, monitoring events and facility guests, and light maintenance tasks. Teammates will open and close the facility on weekdays and weekends.
During Welcome Desk (WD) shifts, teammates serve as customer service attendants and complete customer transactions (recreation activity registration, facility rentals), greet and check-in facility guests, answer phone calls and emails, and perform administrative tasks (filing, copying). Teammates are entrusted to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner and are seen as key part-time teammates in our department.
Schedule and Work Location
This is a part-time unbenefited position that will be scheduled weekdays, early mornings, evenings, and weekends between 15-20 hours per week.
We are currently seeking teammates who are available for two to three shifts during the week and one to two weekend shifts throughout the month. Teammates are assigned to 3-5 shifts per week.
Weekday shifts may fall between 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Weekend shifts may fall between 6:00 AM - 1:30 AM.

As a condition of employment, a background check must be completed, including fingerprinting for submission to the Department of Justice, as well as Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
- Set up and tear down rooms for rental customers, including: moving and arranging tables and chairs based on the provided set-up instructions.
- Set up and tear down sound equipment, projectors, and cables and cords.
- Answer phones and use computer software to communicate with customers and complete customer transactions (Word, Excel, Outlook, POS, ticketing software, and Civic Rec recreation software).
- Provide information about recreation and City activities to customers.
- Resolve customer issues in a professional manner with a customer first focus while adhering to policies and procedures.
- Communicate with management regarding issues, incidents or injuries that may occur.
- Ensure facility is properly secured each evening to safeguard the facility from theft and vandalism.
- Assist in minor facility maintenance and light custodial duties (clean spills, change light bulbs, restock restroom).
- Routinely walk through the facility and monitor customers and guests, without being intrusive, to ensure compliance with facility policies.
- Oversee scheduled activities throughout the facility and be visible and available to answer questions and provide assistance to users.
- Serve as both a Welcome Desk customer service attendant and a Building Coordinator when needed to ensure quality customer service at all times.
- Accurately complete daily facility checklist.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience operating and setting up AV equipment is preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have knowledge of work safety practices and procedures.
- Applicants must be physically capable of sustained walking, standing, or climbing.
- Must be able to lift boxes, tables, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Applicants must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Applicants must follow all safety protocols.
Valid American Red Cross Adult and Child CPR and First Aid Certification is desirable (must be obtained in first 90 days).
