What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Head Lifeguard position at City of Northglenn?
This position is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the swimming pools and pedal boat operation.
Schedule will vary and include nights, weekends and holidays, approximately 40 hours per week. Must be able to work through the month of August.
Responsibilities include but not limit to, supervising pool staff, instructing swim lessons, and assuring the safe use of aquatic facilities, to include the seasonal outdoor pedal boat operation.
In addition, this position is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the swimming pools. Responsibilities specific to pool maintenance include, but are not limited to testing water for chemical balance, adding chemicals, vacuuming pools, repairing pool equipment, and ensuring that the aquatic facilities comply with local health regulations. Office duties can included but are not limited to: scheduling staff & finding coverage, cleaning schedules, concession shopping & delivery, shift coverage. Typical work day may consist of 80% guarding, 15% Lessons and 5% Admin.

Must be at least 17 years of age and have current:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Lifeguard or Ellis Training
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Lifeguard or Ellis Training
W.S.I. (Water Safety Instructor) (preferred)
C.P.R. (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation)
Knowledge of pool chemicals and operation, as well as basic maintenance skills and use of tools are also required.

Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license and a good driving record at the time of hireMust be able to to lift 50-70 lbs on a regular basis.
