NATURE OF WORK:
Performs highly responsible administrative, technical, and process control involving operation and maintenance of an advanced treatment water reclamation facility. Duties include responsibility for facility administration, process control operations, inspection and maintenance of equipment and machinery, and analysis/quality control of the facility, monitors contractual service agreements to ensure work is performed as specified by contract and vendors comply with contractual pricing, uses a variety of computer software to prepare correspondence, reports, specifications, assists in the research and development of new and/or updated procedures, SOP’s for equipment and provides input as to their suitability for use, Work is performed under the direction of the Treatment Plant Manager and is reviewed through conferences, reports submitted, and results obtained. Must learn all three Water Reclamation Facilities as this position will fill in when any Treatment Plant Manager is absent.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Public Administration, or a related field with four (4) years of progressively responsible managerial or supervisory experience in wastewater treatment plant operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess a Florida D.E.P. Class "A" Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's Certificate or an equivalent certificate from any state and obtain a Florida Class "A" within six (6) months of employment. A valid Florida Driver's License and a home telephone are required. Must obtain security clearance and GOAA ID within 90 days of employment and maintain same. Must be available and be able reliably to be contacted in case of an emergency work situation.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
