Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll processing, is proficient in accounting software, and possesses excellent data entry skills.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees on a regular basis
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes
- Maintain employee records and update changes as necessary
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements
- Generate payroll reports for management review
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, to include assistance with W-2 preparation
- Stay up-to-date on payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role
- Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and financial concepts
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Paychex)
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies or issues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
