ELECTIONS ASSISTANT CLERK
Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Our City Clerk's Office is now hiring an Elections Assistant Clerk! This role will assist the City Clerk and other departmental staff with election duties, i.e. processing requests for absentee ballots, registering voters, maintaining voter registration records and other work as assigned during elections. Position involves complex and confidential duties issuing birth, marriage, and death certificates, fishing and hunting licenses, marriage licenses, dog licenses, while handling high volume of telephone calls and mail-in requests. Requirements:
- Applicants must be energetic, friendly, and detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must possess excellent customer services skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills. computer literate.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Must also have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to climb a step ladder and retrieve heavy (up to 20 lbs) volumes of records from the vault.
- Overtime hours , that may include evening and weekend work, may be required during petition verification and elections.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 10) - Salary starting at $19.85/hr.
