- Manages all aspects of a given program, from traditional requirements gathering through implementation.
- Assists in defining and refining the program scope and ensures it aligns with business priorities.
- Partners with product managers to develop the business case and ensure alignment on vision and strategy.
- Directs product owners on project delivery and supports and coaches project managers within the program.
- Proactively sets performance expectations and helps project managers manage expectations of delivery and requirements, yielding consistent results.
- Manages and prioritizes project and program portfolios and/or backlogs and serves as content authority for the program/value-stream level backlog.
- Prepares and presents regularly communicated program progress reports.
- Evaluates program progress on a regular basis and identifies and tracks dependencies and risks.
- Develops and maintains the program management delivery tools.
- Develops and implements action plans for continuous improvements.
- Manages financials at the program level.
- Increases delivery speed by solving for agile delivery team distractions that may hinder release quality and removing roadblocks during the build phase.
- Supports and coaches less experienced IT team members in delivery management and program management.
- May address escalated project issues, as needed.
- May assist in defining and communicating a roadmap.
- Prioritizes work and leads the planning process across the multiple agile teams within a value stream.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Seven (7) years of experience managing large scale IT development and implementation projects or products
- Two (2) years of experience managing programs
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Project Management certification, successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum, or related certification.
- Demonstrated experience delivering initiatives leveraging agile methodology (Scrum, XP, SAFe, Kanban)
- Demonstrated knowledge of product management principles
- Experience working in a product-centric environment
- Technical management experience in a dynamic high-paced environment

- Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
