Description
Nature of Work: Employees in this class, under the general supervision of the City Clerk and/or its designee, perform various entry level office functions, where procedures and operations are essential, with considerable independence and responsibility in carrying out routine assignments. Assist City Clerk, Deputy Clerk and Office Supervisor with daily tasks and is responsible for the Qualified Voter File (QVF) daily maintenance, assisting with election related duties, and any other duties as assigned.
Typical Examples of Work: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers while performing entry level clerk job functions: route incoming mail; open mail; data entry, provide excellent customer service to residents, answer telephone calls and provide necessary information to callers. Daily monitoring of the Qualified Voter File (QVF), Bureau of Elections eLearning system for mandatory training, and all other election related duties. Employee may be assigned other entry level duties as determined by the department head and/or designee.
Qualifications
Requirements: QVF experience preferred. Previous customer service and clerical work as well as a thorough knowledge of general office methods and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Sheets is required. Evening hours and weekends are mandatory during election season.
