Responsibilities:
Expedite Orders: Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely preparation of food orders according to customer requests, ensuring that all items are properly cooked, garnished, and plated.
Order Coordination: Work closely with the servers to coordinate the pickup and delivery of food orders to customers' tables, ensuring that orders are accurate and complete.
Quality Control: Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all food items leaving the kitchen meet our quality standards, including presentation, portion sizes, and temperature.
Communication: Establish effective communication channels between the kitchen and serving staff, relaying any changes or special requests from customers promptly and accurately.
Time Management: Monitor order wait times and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient service and minimize customer wait times.
Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.
Cleanliness and Organization: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area, including food preparation stations, service areas, and dining room cleanliness, in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and rotation practices.
Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and cooperative work environment by collaborating with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
Previous Experience: Prior experience as a kitchen expediter or food runner is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and servers.
Organization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate order coordination and adherence to quality standards.
Customer Service Skills: Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-focused approach to providing exceptional service.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays of food, and move swiftly in a busy restaurant environment.
Availability: Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
