The City of Wyoming is seeking a full-time Economic Development Specialist to join the Community and Economic Development Department. This position will work closely with the Director in attracting and supporting businesses and promoting Wyoming’s robust business community.
The specialist position requires an understanding of a variety of programs, policies, processes, and technical systems. Responsibilities include building relationships and developing contacts within the Wyoming business community and with the Chamber of Commerce and identifying resources and deploying programs such as tax abatements to assist business owners interested in investing in the City of Wyoming.
The ideal applicant is comfortable representing the city when meeting with existing and prospective businesses and can assist the public with inquiries related to all aspects of economic development. This is an entry level position with an opportunity to touch all aspects of economic development.
