City Wide is actively searching for a talented Assistant Controller to join the accounting team. This position will work directly with the Controller and COO for the Franchise business, as well as management throughout the company, in regards to reporting company financials monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; budget development and management; while performing additional staff accountant responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Managing the budget process
- Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
- Maintain strong working relationship with all key managers, franchisees, and external auditors.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
- Design and implement additional and ad hoc reporting as needed
- Additional benchmarking and analysis reporting on a regular basis
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures with on-going improvement initiatives.
- Manage third party vendors relating to the areas of software support, payroll, and audit.

- Accountability - While all of these traits are very important to our organization, accountability is a must to ensure that we maintain transparent communications, while solving problems quickly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of staff accountant experience.
- Expert experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
