The Associate Director of Correspondent Lending will serve as the Sales and Operation liaison and assist in driving the growth of CIVIC’s Correspondent Lending business. Will intermediate by contacting with correspondents consistently regarding loan specific details on files such as new loans, deal structure, loans in process, funding and closed. The Associate Director of Correspondent Lending will oversee deal structures and provide loan level solutions as well as support new correspondent training.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify, address and assist in performance issues with assigned clients to alleviate issues through improving processes and designing best practices.
  • Lead and/or participate in 08 development meetings.
  • Assist with initial application assistance.
  • Help with fixed disclosure issues for correspondents and provide pricing assistance.
  • Obtain complete understanding of underwriting guidelines, compliance guidelines and loan and purchase process.
  • Analyze written procedure and find solutions for process improvement.
  • Work with corporate derivatives.
  • Email monthly data tape to Accounting team.
  • Review monthly amounts and provide an accounting report.
  • Prepare wire requests and obtain SVP approval.
  • Email monthly statements to correspondents.
  • Directly and indirectly manage team of Relationship Managers and Account Managers
  • Handle pipeline management involving prioritization.
  • Assist Post-Closing and monitor pipeline of outstanding loans that need to be purchased.
  • Help with purchase advice issues such as PA’s not balancing.
  • Monitor warehouse line tracking in tableau.
  • Responsible for trailing documentation.
  • Work with Encompass team on system issues that need corrections such as pricing and fees.
  • Support new programs and product development.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; or a combination of education and experience.
  • 8-10 years of direct B2B selling experience (correspondent lending) within the mortgage industry, with minimum 5 recent years of successfully developing a territory.
  • Current Correspondent loan sales experience.
  • Experience leading a Correspondent Lending team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Leadership demonstrating successful relationship building with established accounts, as well as forging new partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills taking pride in client service communications and abilities.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit, ready to develop with the company.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
