What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive (Radio/Media Sales) position at Civic Media?
Civic Media is hiring radio advertising sales professionals to join our rapidly growing network across the State of Wisconsin. Sales positions will focus on prospecting and new account acquisition.
Ideal candidates will have prior media/advertising sales experience and success, reliable transportation, and a connection to the communities in which they would sell.
Civic Media has two Brewers markets, three Badgers markets, and two Packers Network stations with associated packages to sell. In addition to nearly a dozen News/Talk/Sports stations, Civic Media features severalregionally located Country Music and Classic Hits formatted stations.
Civic Media is motivated to preserve hometown radio and the local news and high school sports coverage, broadcasting from Main Streets across Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of radio and digital advertising placements on our network stations and with our shows’ digital audience
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
- Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
- Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
- Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relations
Requirements and skills:
- Previous experience as a sales professional in the media/advertising industry
- Ability to create and maintain good relationships with customers
- Strong negotiating and sales skills
Positions are full-time, with a beginning base salary, commission plus full benefits package.
