The Proposal Specialist strategizes positions, develops, writes and responds to formal Request for Proposals (RFPs), Informal Proposals, Quotations, Information and/or Qualifications (RFQs) for submission to prospective and current clients. The Proposal Specialist will extract, validate, interpret, and assimilate information from various sources in order to respond to RFPs in an accurate, customized and timely manner.
We’re excited to hire a new Proposal Specialist who can:
- Write and design customized proposals using the input obtained from all sources in a concise, responsive, logical fashion while ensuring that the information provided complies with stated requirements and compliance regulations.
- Analyze the requirements of an RFP and decide what information needs to be included in the proposal
- Conduct any additional research that is required to develop the responses.
- Leverage existing proposal material and tools for rapid response to opportunities as needed.
- Facilitate and participate in strategy meetings with Sales team and other company resources (as needed) to determine best positioning of services and determine task assignments.
- Participate in meetings with the Sales team to deepen knowledge of assigned proposals.
- Use clear and concise messaging to call out client benefits and competitive differentiation of the company’s strategies for RFP content.
- Stay up-to-date of current market and industry environment to develop content reflecting insight into current context and relevant competitors.
- Review, edit, and proofread proposals and other materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency of documents and to ensure compliance with firm guidelines and standards.
- Coordinate proposal production process from start to finish, including follow-up when needed to update firm CRM (NetSuite). Update NetSuite to capture information related to current proposal activity.
- Create end of sale contract creation and negotiation from information received from Sales team members.
- Support multiple projects, prioritize assignments and complete tasks within firm deadlines and in a team environment.
There is no perfect candidate, but we are looking for:
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate information effectively
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity and experience with Adobe Suite products, specifically InDesign, PhotoShop and Acrobat Professional
