Environmental Engineer - Due Diligence and Comliance

Overview

As an Environmental Due Diligence Specialist for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be involved with civil and environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service for a variety of clients including those in the public sector, solid waste, and real-estate markets. You'll perform tasks such as Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, hazardous building materials surveys, and various remediation-related assignments. This position will include field work and interaction with clients, contractors, and local government officials to impact the entire project.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years’ professional engineering or related experience;
• 3-5 years’ experience with due diligence projects, Phase I ESA.
• 3-5 years’ experience with environmental drilling and sampling
• HAZWOPER training;
• Experience with due diligence, UST Closures, site assessments (Phase I and II), and subsurface investigations. Detailed-oriented;
• Ability to work independently;
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
• Ability to speak effectively;
• Ability to use Microsoft Word Processing and MS Excel spreadsheet software;
• Ability to travel overnight and work extended hours as needed.
