CK Power is looking for an Inbound Materials Inspector/Production Planner at our St. Louis, MO location. The Inbound Materials Inspector/Production Planner is responsible for the planning of jobs/orders on the production floor, ensuring jobs have the materials they need, as well as coordinating with other departments to prepare materials needed for scheduled work.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily production orders to ensure parts are available for current orders by coordinating with the Shipping/Receiving and Purchasing Departments.
- Ensure Shipping and Receiving Clerks are prepared for orders (jobs) to pull.
- Data entry of sales orders into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Maintain inventory locations for parts in the production area. Check on carts per job and stage them in designated areas on the production floor.
- Inspect parts and materials to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and CK Power and customer needs.
- Communicate with vendors about non-conforming materials.
- Generate reports.
- Continuously communicate with Parts Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing Departments to ensure availability of parts for current and upcoming orders, while staying updated on any orders changes that may affect orders on the production floor.
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of mechanical, automotive, assembly, or electrical experience.
- Mechanical aptitude: ability recognize various automotive and mechanical parts. Ability to solve common technical problems.
- Quality Control experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Flexibility: ability to adapt to changes direction with ease.
- Self-directed mindset, ability to work both independently and within a team environment with minimal supervision, and a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
What Helps:
- Experience with manufacturing operating systems a plus (NAV experience preferred).
- Forklift experience or certification a plus.
