Manager, Global External Reporting (Remote)

The Manager, Global External Reporting is responsible for the preparation of external reports, including SEC filings. The role also provides technical support on accounting and disclosure matters in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

• Preparation of SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, 10-K/A, registration statements, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with SEC XBRL filing requirements
• Prepare debt covenant compliance and reporting for the Company's North America and Europe Credit Agreements
• Research and evaluate impact of new accounting pronouncements and SEC guidance; incorporate/modify disclosure requirements arising from new pronouncements
• Preparation for both Claire's Inc. and Claire's Stores, Inc. of quarter end and year-end financial statements, i.e., balance sheet, statement of operations, and statement of cash flows
• Obtaining information and data to produce quarter end and year-end footnotes
• Responsible for updating the Claire's Inc. Form S-1 as needed
• Preparation of Board of Director materials, including actual and projected EBITDA Cash Flow and Capital Expenditure reporting
• Preparation of quarterly earnings press releases, provide assistance for quarterly earnings conference calls and obtain certain KPI's for investor call script
• Preparation of certain schedules / reports included in the monthly closing / reporting process, which includes management accounts report and Europe monthly closing schedules
• Preparation of monthly stock-based compensation accounting entries and preparation of quarterly and annual stock-based compensation reporting and disclosure required for Form 10-Qs, Form 10-K, and Form 10-K/A
• Prepare quarterly options outstanding reporting for CFO
• Process stock-based compensation activity accurately and timely including option grants, option exercises, option cancellations
• Maintain updated participant accounts including termination activity
• Provide the Tax Department with routine or ad hoc requests for their tax accounting calculations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master's degree preferred
• Active CPA license
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills and intellectual curiosity
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
• Self-starter and attention to detail
• 4-5 years public accounting experience (preferably Big 4)
• 3-5 years of recent external reporting experience
• Hyperion Essbase experience
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow up in a timely manner
