Job Description:

Role Overview:

• The person will be part of the Finance team for a major Insurance client. He/ She should have hands on experience in financial reporting, analytics and strong understanding of insurance industry.

• The person will work with different stakeholders to identify the requirements for posting the results into subledger.

• The person should be able to create/help build a mapping exercise for the financial data coming from different sources.

• Well versed with SQL and Excel or other data analytics. Can carry out in depth data analysis on results produced by actuarial models.

• The person would be required to create upload templates that would be loaded to subledger/ledger.

• The person will be responsible for testing and implementing the new/updated regulatory requirements.

• The person will be able to quickly understand the business issues and data challenges and propose solutions.

• A suitable candidate should have 5 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go -getter attitude. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity.

• Experience in life insurance preferred.

• Common Skillsets:

o Superior finance, analytical and problem solving skills

o Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision

o Good communication skill for client interaction

• Financial Risk Management Skillsets:

o Background in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, statistics or related fields of study

o Good understanding of US market and the latest regulatory guidelines such Long Duration Targeted Improvements

o Good knowledge of SQL, advanced Excel

o Professional certification CFA, FRM, Actuarial exams etc.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in finance, mathematics, actuarial science or related analytics areas

• 3-5 years’ experience in Life Insurance but not mandatory

• Strong and in-depth understanding of insurance industry

• Financial reporting, analytics experience

• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges

• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
