The following job description pertains to the Dishwasher at the Country Kitchen – Ontario. Job Summary:

The Dishwasher maintains the cleanliness and sanitization of china, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans and equipment according to Country Kitchen standards. Dishwashers are responsible for restocking all items for the FOH & BOH in their correct locations and will assist the Team in taking care of the Guests Every Visit, Every Day to provide Absolute Guest Satisfaction. You may also be required to do other duties as assigned that may not be listed.

Essential Functions:

1. Must obtain food handlers permit per state and local laws.

2. Has the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

3. Works frequently in hot, damp environment.

4. Works frequently with hands immersed in water.

5. Works frequently with commercial grade chemicals.

6. Separates and stacks china, glassware, silverware, utensils and pots & pans. Scrapes and sprays all items. Places items in racks and runs through the dishwasher.

7. Uses the compartment sinks to wash large items.

8. Pre-soaks silverware prior to washing.

9. Controls china breakage and loss of silverware.

10. Performs quality checks on work, insuring all items are clean and without spots.

11. Empties trash receptacles and places in dumpster on a regular basis.

12. Demonstrates Teamwork by keeping restaurant areas stocked with all of the appropriate items.

13. Assists the FOH with pre-bussing, bussing, cleaning, sanitizing and setting tables.

14. Completes assigned side work duties in a timely manner.

15. Checks & Cleans restrooms; sweeps and mops floors as needed.

16. Assists in removing debris from the parking lot and landscaping.

17. Demonstrates good hand dexterity needed to lift, carry and sort items.

18. Has the ability to continuously lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to reach up to shelving and stoop to lower shelving, while lifting weight up to 20 pounds.

19. Has the ability to operate brooms and mops.

20. Has the ability to take verbal direction.

21. Basic reading, math and writing skills are required.

22. Learns and follows sanitation and safety practices required in the Food Service Industry.

23. Has friendly personality required to properly interact with Guests and fellow Team Members.

24. Make sure that entire dishwashing area is cleaned prior to each change of shift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally lifting and/or carrying from 5 pounds and up to 50 pounds. On occasion will be required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. You will also be working with commercial grade chemicals for cleaning.

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
