Process Attendant

Primary Duties:

Processing wet batteries through formation and development and quality audits.

Normal Sequence:

Is responsible for the forming cycles in wet forming and power spin. Connects batteries to charging

equipment, adjusts charging rates, reads and records temperature of pilot cells. Controls temperatures of

batteries during formation by reducing charging rates if temperature exceeds that allowed by

specifications. Reads and records temperatures and voltages on formation cycle per specifications relative to storage of batteries in acid before placing on charge.

Determines when the charging cycles are complete and release the product to the operation.

Moves loads of batteries due to breakdown of charging equipment.

Performs audits of balance of the forming process.

Follows quality manual of specific procedures for audit and evaluations of operations. Responsible for recording quality levels and initiating corrective action. Handles those auditing duties which come within the scope of the wet and dry charge forming area.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

Responsible for the housekeeping and safety of the charging area.

Handles simple maintenance functions of the charging equipment.
