Position is located at a home improvement store. The gate attendant is stationed inside a guard shack at the entrance to the lumber yard at the store. The lumber yard is self- service, but gate attendants are responsible for checking customers in/out, guiding the customer to the location of an item if needed, confirming they have their correct receipt, and that they leave with the correct amount of merchandise. Amongst the customers entering the gate, there will also be contractors and vendors entering the gate to deliver or pick up merchandise. Candidates should be able to handle being around the public and deal with the public in a retail setting. Candidates must have the knowledge and ability to utilize a tablet properly and efficiently.
