Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Key Accountability
Works with administration, providers and key stakeholders in identifying telehealth opportunities, identifies appropriate platforms for service and is instrumental in bringing the platform to CCH.
Works with staff to effectively utilize telehealth platforms and technology to carry out the goals of Clarke County Hospital
Works closely with providers and clinical staff to provide support in real-time with the use of telehealth applications.
• Serves as liaison between providers, clinical staff, IT and vendor on all telehealth applications platform software or workflow issues
• Develops operational objectives by contributing information and analysis, identifying and resolving problems, and determining system improvements.
• Ongoing review and application for telehealth grant opportunities, and functions as the CCH Project Coordinator for telehealth grants received.
• Provides user training in the functional use of Telehealth applications and workflows to providers clinical staff, and support staff both on new telehealth program implementation and ongoing as needed; analyzes training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs; partners with management to assess and identify staff training needs based on projected organizational processes, changes, and other factors
Assists providers and staff with setting up remote Telehealth Services competencies and skills:
Demonstrates commitment to service excellence by promptly addressing internal/external issues/requests, resolving concerns while maintaining a professional image and behavior to build and enhance the patient/family/provider experience.
Adheres to hospital and department policies and procedures as established.
Prepares, monitors, and adjusts annual operating budget in conjunction with administration to assure cost effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and supplies.
Orients, trains, assigns, schedules, directs and supervises department staff. Develops a system for performance appraisal, review personnel performance evaluations and initiate personnel actions such as merit increases, promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and termination. Reviews individual department performance, effects changes as needed to improve services, simplifies workflow and assures compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes practitioner related interactions when indicated. Promotes good employee relations and solves department problems. Develops and maintains job descriptions for department personnel. Maintains and keeps current their personnel records. Assists in establishing policies for recruiting personnel. Interviews and hires applicants, as needed.
Attends Leadership Team meetings, as scheduled and other committees as assigned.
Promotes professional growth and development, establishes hospital and patient communication and relationships via participation in hospital-wide projects and community programs.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with others.
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain an effective workflow environment. Accurate and timely work is critical. Must be able to demonstrate competency of detailed and accurate work output. Ability to work independently. Ability to meet deadlines.
Basic Clarke County Hospital (CCH) Performance Criteria
Demonstrates Clarke County Hospital Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to hospital policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.
Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.
Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DIA, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, business, or information technology.
Associate’s Degree in healthcare, business, or information technology with 3-5 years of project management experience.
Project Management Certification.
Experience:
Minimum one year of experience in health care environment.
Experience using Epic system is preferred.
Minimum of one year of project implementation.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability read, write, and speak English fluently.
Basic computer knowledge, using word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browser.
