Job Summary:CLC Engineering, LLC is an engineering firm, located Alexandria, LA, specializing in civil/structural engineering for high voltage structures in substations and switchyards, currently looking to fill the position of Experienced Electromechanical Designer. 3-5 years of experience required for this position. Candidates will need a solid understanding of drafting techniques and of engineering terminology in order to provide support to Engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and diagrams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs.
- Organizes structural, electrical, and mechanical designs.
- Draws plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on instructions provided by engineers.
- Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess drafting and layout skills, understanding layout of drawings.
- Physical Substation Design Experience
- Possess good mathematical skills in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry.
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software (3 years’ experience required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven department.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem solving.
- Must work locally in office, Alexandria, Louisiana
Education and Experience:
- Certification from an approved Drafting & Design Education Program
- Hands on physical electro-mechanical work 2 years (Required)
- Engineering drawings: 2 years (Required)
- AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Friday: 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
