The Opportunity:
Clean Harbors is looking for an Plant Chemist to join their safety conscious team! Plant Chemists are responsible for coordinating and managing tracking and shipping of all waste (hazardous and non-hazardous) generated using Clean Harbors tracking program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Coordinates/manages tracking of all waste generated using Clean Harbors WIN tracking program;
- Generates waste labels and assures containers are properly marked and labeled;
- Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;
- Provides reports for managing waste currently onsite via WIN tracking program;
- Arranges for shipping waste to Clean Harbors with using Clean Harbors local or National transportation;
- Prepares manifests and other required regulatory documentation appropriately;
- Maintain and manage waste profile data;
- QCs containers and waste prior to shipment;
- Appropriately files manifests.
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- Ability and willingness to perform manual labor/physical duties is required;
- Degree in Physical Sciences (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, Environmental) preferred but not required;
- 40-hour OSHA Training (preferred but not required);
- Previous experience segregating, packing, and labeling chemicals is an asset.
