The Senior Manager - Technical Accounting and External Reporting has the primary responsibility for technical accounting matters across all the Company’s business units. Candidates should have had exposure to understanding accounting issues and researching and documenting accounting conclusions. The position will also have responsibilities related to merger and acquisition related analysis, goodwill valuation analysis and ongoing accounting for specialized accounting areas including leases and stock-based compensation. This position has broader external reporting and corporate finance responsibilities as well.

- Evaluate technical accounting matters as they arise and provide proper accounting and reporting alternatives with suggested conclusions.
- Proactively manage the Company through adoption of and adherence to new accounting and reporting pronouncements, including collaborating on new processes and internal controls, as necessary
- Manage accounting for certain technical areas including lease accounting, stock-based compensation, business combinations, and divestitures.
- Prepare and manage the annual goodwill valuation process with external valuation specialists.
- The candidate will have additional external reporting responsibilities for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, proxy, etc.), including debt or equity offerings.
- Assist with communication of technical accounting and reporting guidance to senior finance personnel (including “C Suite”) and other Corporate functional groups (Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations)
- Manage projects with key external specialists and internal teams for acquisition valuations.
- Participate in the annual budget/ monthly forecast process in relation to our lease and stock compensation programs;
- Help ensure accounting and reporting technologies are maintained and up to date in order to drive capabilities and efficiencies in processes
- Opportunities to participate in strategic projects supporting other parts of the business and subject to greater visibility across the organization.
- 7 years in public accounting, or a public/private accounting mix, with associated technical accounting and public company reporting experience.
- Driven self-starter/ motivator possessing critical thinking, problem-solving skills along with an appreciation for detail and organization.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills combined with an ability to manage multiple on-going tasks.
- Hard working, forward-thinking individual looking to further their career at a company with multiple growth opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with relevant experience in technical accounting.
- CPA or CPA in process preferred.
- Experience in Oracle ERP/EPM a plus
