Warehouse 2nd shift Loader Job Summary:
Load orders pulled during first shift onto our trucks for next day delivery.
2nd Shift Loader Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
These include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Help first shift finish pulling orders.
- Load all material pulled from 1st shift onto our trucks for next day delivery which includes a mix of pipe, pallets and boxes.
- Trucks being loaded are semis, stake trucks, and pickups.
- Manifest material.
- All material must be loaded safely in the order of the manifest.
- Must be comfortable working in all types of weather.
- Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing a positive customer experience.
- Understand the layout of the warehouse/yard and bin location system, as well as the different types of product Etna stocks.
- Use care in the handling of all materials, products, and/or equipment.
- Gather materials/products in the warehouse and/or yard to package/assemble for shipment and counter pick-up.
- Prevent shipping and inventory errors through verifying one’s own work.
- Drive all powered industrial equipment safely.
- Stage all ready to ship product in proper locations.
- Assist in the upkeep and general housekeeping of the warehouse/yard.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Work safely.
Warehouse Shipping Receiving Associate Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Plumbing/Waterworks knowledge with an understanding of product application is preferable.
- Effective communication, stress management, and detail orientation skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Effective computer skills. Knowledge of Eclipse a plus.
- Basic adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division skills.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma
- Six months warehouse experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications and/or Licenses:
- Ability to pass operator exam and drive powered industrial equipment.
