We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Processor to join our team. As a Mortgage Processor, you will play a crucial role in the loan origination process by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of mortgage applications. ```Key Responsibilities```
- Strong Handoff between Loan Officer (LO) and Processor: Coordinate with LOs to obtain all necessary documentation from borrowers and provide immediate introduction at the onset of the loan process.
- Client Communication: Act as a point of contact between the borrowers and the loan officer, using all three communication channels - email, text, and phone - to ensure clear and timely communication. Always maintain professional and friendly interaction with clients.
- Client Follow-Up: Regularly follow-up with clients to request necessary loan documentation and clarify any potential discrepancies in the application data. Ensure all customer queries are handled promptly and efficiently.
- Loan Processing: Review loan applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established guidelines. Submit and disclose files using various investor portals in a timely and accurate manner.
- Investor Portals & Processes: Stay up-to-date and familiar with various investor portals and their process nuances. Adapt to changes in procedures and guidelines with ease and professionalism.
- Loan Application Review: Evaluate loan applications to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Verify all financial documentation provided by the borrower to confirm the ability to repay the mortgage.
- Documentation: Gather, organize, and track loan documentation, maintaining a thorough record of the entire loan process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with mortgage industry trends, regulatory compliance requirements, and lending guidelines.
- Underwriting Liaison: Work closely with underwriters to address any issues or questions regarding applications. Ensure all potential concerns are addressed before submission.
- Closing Coordination: Work with loan closers and attorneys to coordinate closing schedules, prepare loan closing documents, and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.
- Client Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, answering questions and providing updates throughout the loan process. Aim to exceed client expectations at all stages of the loan process.
- Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise during the loan process. This could include discrepancies in the loan application, title issues, or appraisal concerns.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest technologies, lender products, and market conditions.
- Manage Loan Submissions and Disclosures: Receive and review loan submission forms from Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs), ensuring that all necessary documentation and information have been properly filled and included. Upon verification, upload these forms into the investor portal for further action. Furthermore, take charge of disclosing the file. Work with the loan officer to ensure follow up on these disclosures to maintain compliance and expedite the loan process. Stay current with changes in guidelines or procedures related to loan submission and disclosure.
