Facilitate the efficient operation of the Galveston-Brazoria Cooperative for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing office by providing clerical support to the director and staff. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
- High school diploma or GED

- Strong organizational and file maintenance skills

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years clerical experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the Audiologist by scheduling appointments and site visits to schools and maintaining a detailed account of audiologic services provided to students and school districts.
- Manage the hearing aid maintenance program including inventory, ordering supplies, repairs, billing, fiscal records, and record keeping
- Manage the Assistive Listening Device program including telephone contacts with area school district personnel, preparation of equipment, completion of paperwork, and billing.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve inquiries regarding the hearing aid maintenance and assistive listening device programs.
- Support families by investigating personal amplification, warranty information, and financial support for repairs and replacement equipment.
- Maintain eligibility files (i.e., copying, filing, distribution to school districts, teachers and parents).
- Maintain accurate student information of all necessary tests and reports for PEIMS on database.
- Keep accurate listing of dismissed students’ records (i.e., purging of records and documentation).
- Maintain GBCDHH Assistive Listening Device inventory with database.
- Track materials and equipment distributed and in use by GBCDHH personnel.
- Develop computer programs to facilitate efficient GBCDHH record keeping, data retrieval/usage, and work processing needs.
- Assist Audiologist with scheduling of audiological and otologic tests by preparing necessary forms, schedule bus driver, follow-up to teachers and parents.

- Exercise good telephone etiquette, take reliable messages, problem solve or answer questions conveyed, extract necessary information from caller, and route to appropriate staff member.
