What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavator Equipment Operator position at Clear Excavating?
We are a small company that is looking for responsible, reliable, efficient, excavator equipment operator. Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in operating.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- CDL license – this is not truck driving position
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Must be able to pass a drug test & background search
- Must be able to lift 50 to 80 pounds.
You'll be expected to..
- Have the ability to control materials.
- Have the ability to finish grade.
- Be familiar with Hitachi Excavators, as well as CAT Excavators equipped with grade control/assist and Topcon GPS.
- Perform a pre- and post- operation inspection of equipment.
- Have experience working in utility easements.
- Willing to do hand work. Please do not apply if you think this is beneath you.
- Enjoy work that requires frequent shifts in direction.
- Work in unconventional ways that require creativity if the situation or job requires it.
- Be familiar with equipment maintenance, problem troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Work independently and/or with multiple teams.
- Assist crews with assigned tasks, including but not limited to general or physical labor when not operating equipment.
- Ensure equipment is operationally ready at all times to minimize down, including cleaning tracks /wheels and windows, greasing and fueling.
We normally work 50 hours a week during the construction season.
