To join our team as an Energy Engineer III. You will support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance. Leads design and development of technical strategies, conduct analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and develops plans and provides reporting that contributes to the success of client programs. Writes and informs technical documents, publications, and conducts a quality review of content. Provides general project oversight, quality control/assurance, and continuously informs customers and project team of updates and necessary adjustments. Supports business development efforts and proactively seeks new project opportunities.

- Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics
- Perform and lead complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision.
- Identify, lead, and qualify custom/M&V projects in our programs (beyond deemed savings)
- Oversee the development of calculators and measure configurations within the central database
- Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities
- Author IPMVP compliant plans and reports and review those of others
- Provide technical advice to staff across multiple large-scale programs
- Provide technical guidance and training to our program teams related to subject matter expertise (esp. custom/M&V projects)
- Subject matter expert in at least two significant technical areas
- Author work papers for new energy efficiency measures, with technical oversight
- Oversee technical feedback related to filings, utility commission documents, and program evaluations; provide formal recommendations to program staff
- Develop project scopes, with oversight from engineering management
- Work with clients and evaluators on project-specific issues

Compensation Range
