POSITION TITLE:   Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for transporting material to and from company manufacturing locations and suppliers.  Oversees DOT compliance rules, maintenance, logs, safety policies, and procedures.  Assisting with warehouse functions – including shipping, receiving, order picking, loading and unloading trucks, stock replenishment, and other warehouse functions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transport goods from the warehouse to various destinations
• Load and unload delivery vehicles ensuring that all items and supplies are properly protected
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and other required maintenance logs to meet DOT standards
• Handle manufacturing material according to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) policies
• Manage paperwork associated with pickups and deliveries.
• Support the scheduling of truck routes.
• Adhere to time schedules and specified routes.
• Obey all transportation laws and maintain clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail to insure accurate in inventory part numbers, order comments, and system correctness.
• Receives delivery product, identifies, and verifies quantities according to packing lists and purchase orders.
• Boxes and palletizes products in compliance with company procedures for service and safety.
• Adheres to ISO requirements regarding Warehouse operations.
• Prepares shipping documentation, systems and with carriers to maximize timely, and safe delivery of customer product at most effective cost.
• Utilizes shipping programs such as:  UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and Priority Courier.
• Prepare and process paperwork for all shipments including bills of lading, letters of instruction, labels, and commercial invoices for international orders.
• Enter order confirmation on shipments so invoices can be initiated.
• Fill pick lists and work orders from inventory.
• Foster a positive work climate with all coworkers.
• Ensure strong housekeeping and organizational skills within workstation, vehicle, and department.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• Possess a commercial driver’s license - Class B minimum required.
• Ability to adhere to safe driving practices.
• Ability to drive up to fifty percent of work week.
• Ability to work outside standard shift (not including overnight or extended travel)
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred.   
• Forklift Certification is a plus.
• Work collaboratively and independently in an interrupt driven environment with tight deadlines.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift and lift to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

PAY RANGE: Base 22.00 per hour and up paid on experience, bonus eligible
