Camera System Service Technician

ClearStaff Villa Park are in search of a service technician for our client in the Northbrook area. This is a direct hire position.

Schedule:

• Day shift (5:30am-2:00pm)
• Overtime may occasionally be required.

Job Description

• As a PTZ Systems Technician, you will focus on troubleshooting and repairing positioners and camera systems and maintain repair maintenance records.
• Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Restore electrical/mechanic positioners and camera systems back to operational condition.
• Programming and testing of microcontroller based electronic circuit board layout.
• Prepare wire harnesses as shown in drawings/ schematics. This will require crimping and soldering.
• Test and replace motors as required
• Testing, adjustment and/or replacement of mechanical components including gears, sprockets, bearings, and chains.
• Lubrication of mechanical components.
• Testing and adjustment or replacement of camera sensors and lens.
• Move/carry up to 50lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts
• When required, help manufacturing assembly department test newly built products.
• Networking knowledge is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent diploma with 5 years of related technical experience required
• Associates degree in electronics or robotics technology (or similar) is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience with motor controls, electro-mechanical systems and standard electrical components, circuit cards and wiring, ability to read schematics and product drawings.
• Machinery repair experience required.
• Circuit board soldering and repair experience required.
• Wiring experience required.
• Use of multimeter and oscilloscope required.
• Understanding of RS232-RS422 communication basics required.
• Use of mechanical tools required.

Requirements:

• Able to lift 30-50lbs continuously
• Must be able to work fast pace environment
• Able to lift /stand/bend continuously during entire shift
• Able to pass Pre-employment screening (Drug test, Background Screening, & E-verify)
