Assists the Purchasing Manager in coordinating activities involved with procuring and tracking goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Reviews purchase requirements and requisitions.
- Selects products for management review or purchase by researching, testing, observing, or examining items.
- Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Estimates values according to knowledge and research of market price.
- Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
- Maintains the status of orders throughout the entire process.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Knowledge of Postal Regulations
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $32.50 per hour
