What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at Clemson University?
Assists Director and Associate Director of Operations & Planning with special projects, planning, summer coordination and storage facility. Coordinates all furniture, fixtures and equipment repairs and/or replacements within Housing & Dining. Maintains inventory. Performs other duties as required.
JOB DUTIES:
25% - Essential - Operational Support:
Provides operational support to the Director and Associate Director of Operations & Planning for Housing & Dining. Assists with planning and implementation of departmental and/or divisional initiatives. Assists with the purchasing and receiving of any owner provided items needed for special projects or general FF&E replacements/repairs. Provides on-site coordination as needed. Communicates with supervisors, project managers and other campus partners to meet deadlines and establish schedules.
25% - Essential - Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) and Storage Facility Inventory Control:
Maintains accurate list of FF&E items stored for Housing & Dining. Coordinates with appropriate parties for surplus. Performs regular furniture assessments throughout the year, as set by supervisor, to plan for any future furniture replacements and/or repairs. Coordinates and ensures all furniture service requests for replacements/repairs are completed. Re-stocks parts and supplies as needed to make repairs.
20% - Essential - Summer Coordination and Room Readiness:
Assist Associate Director of Operations & Planning with all summer coordination efforts and serves as liaison between H&D, Facilities, and other campus partners. Assure all student rooms and residence hall common areas are set up and ready for Fall/Spring Move-Ins. Provide on-site coordination as needed.
20% - Essential - Customer Support:
Provides customer support service for students, team members, campus partners, and other individuals who need assistance. Coordinates with community staff, residents, and other campus partners for any special FF&E requests/needs and assure high quality customer service.
10% - Essential - Vehicle & Equipment Support:
Serves as a liaison and coordinates service on vehicles, golf carts, or other equipment repairs, when needed, for Housing & Dining.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience - 1 years working in an administrative/operational support position in a college/university setting.
Licenses - Drivers License Class D normal < 26,000
