We're looking for an Executive Assistant to help us grow! You'll support Clerk's executive team and report to our Head of People. Our ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous situations with high autonomy and has previously coached executives on how to leverage an assistant.
The Role
Scheduling and meetings
- Run executive calendars balance the time given to short-term and urgent with long-term and strategic.
- Coordinate business travel arrangements meetings and handle personal requests such as appointment scheduling.
- Be the gold standard when it comes to meetingsthey're intentional, have an agenda, and everyone receives meeting notes next steps after.
Communication
- Have a system for streamlining and prioritizing executive inboxes.
- Craft polished and succinct communications on their behalf.
- Tap into each executive's voice and intuitively adjust the communication based on the context and audience.
Strategic guidance
- Connect the dots across different conversations to pull out what's important and what's needed of you.
- Manage upward to our co-founders and teach them how to leverage an executive assistant.
- Act in the background to help executives remember to dole out employee appreciation and recognize major life work milestones.
About You
- You offer hands-on experience in administrative assistance, especially the tricky part of helping executives learn how to leverage your support.
- You're empathetic and service-minded.
- You deeply understand discretion and confidentiality.
- You're detail-oriented and add polish to everything.
- You have excellent judgment and decision-making skills, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- You're confident with managing up and keeping executives accountable.
- You're interested in a high-impact role and potentially a career as a Chief-of-Staff.
- Lastly, you love the startup environment and collaborating across teams.
Compensation
As a part of our commitment to transparency, we use a market-based formula that provides consistency across roles & experience levels. We publish all of our compensation data internally for our team. We're open to a range of experience levels for this position. Here are the salaries for each level:
- Executive Assistant I: $79,000
- Executive Assistant II: $96,000
