What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fluidcare Technician position at Cleveland-Cliffs?
Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has immediate opportunities for Fluidcare Technicians at our Rockport Works operation. The Fluidcare Technician is responsible for maintaining the auto fluid systems by operating and troubleshooting onsite emulsion systems and performing analytical sampling, testing, and reporting of chemicals.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Inventory chemical storage, gearboxes, & hydraulic units
- Responsible for manual greasing of all lube points onsite and maintain auto lube systems
- Complete oil sampling and filtration
- Operate and troubleshoot emulsion systems
- Process chemical sampling, testing, & reporting
- Unload Receiving shipments
- Maintain company trucks and tool boxes
- Attends daily safety meetings, toolbox talk and quality meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experience or ability to demonstrate understanding for material flow and proper handling of Work in Process inventories.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating (12 hour) work schedule (days/nights/weekends/holidays)
- Must be willing and able to work in various environments including indoor atmosphere controlled and outside slag based fields.
- Strong work ethic, stellar attendance record, attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experience or ability to demonstrate understanding for material flow and proper handling of Work in Process inventories.
- Computer skills and hands on experience with information systems is needed to perform job functions in a timely and efficient manner.
