Description: The Sales Applications Engineer will develop applications for our customers and provide sales staff with technical product information and support. Duties include improving applications, supplying technical support, and resolving customer queries. In this role, you will be the bridge between our company and our outside sales staff and customers, leveraging your technical knowledge to identify customer needs and convert them into successful sales opportunities.
Salary: $60-75K plus incentives depending on experience
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify leads in the pressure switch market.
· Conduct customer meetings, deliver technical presentations and demos to prospective customers and provide technical support to existing customers.
· Conduct thorough site surveys to assess customer requirements and recommend the most appropriate solutions.
· Ability to break down a project into tasks and maintain information and records in an organized way.
· Conduct follow-ups with customers to ensure all sales agreements have been accomplished, projects completed on-time, and customers are satisfied with all aspects of the transaction.
· Prepare detailed drawings, proposals, cost estimates, and assist with closing deals and negotiating contracts for projects.
· Maintain a deep understanding of our company's products, including features, benefits, and technical specifications and stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and industry trends.
· Develop and implement company marketing plans consistent with the company business strategy.
· Manage and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction and provide solutions for performance enhancement and proactive resolution of issues to ensure customer expectations are met.
· Ensure company financial standards are maintained, including, but not limited to, profitability and productivity.
· Maintain accurate and timely sales activity information, record sales leads, contacts, referrals, future opportunities, follow-ups, key names and addresses.
· Provide accurate periodic sales forecasts, as requested.
· Increase market penetration by expanding the scope of products and services purchased by the existing customer base at key, target, managed, and maintained owner accounts.
· Ensure engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and performance are met.
Qualifications:
· An Associates degree or equivalent technical experience preferred.
· Understanding of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning principles preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation, organizational and interpersonal.
· Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office; CAD experience preferred.
· Ability to form trusted business relationships with customers and work in team situations.
· Proficiency in training sales staff on product specifications and application functionalities a plus.
· A go-getter attitude, self-directed and project management with a passion for exceeding sales goals.
· Minimal travel required.
