Job Description
We are seeking a Mobile UI/UX Designer for a direct-hire/permanent role in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time/Direct hire role will be onsite/ in-office Monday through Friday in a highly collaborative environment (no remote options available).
In this role, you will play a key role in defining the user experience and designing digital features and products. This role will collaborate closely with other UI/UX Designers, Agile sprint teams, and various business stakeholders to help guide the company in executing the vision for a bold and cohesive user experience while ensuring a consistent brand experience across all products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the execution and delivery of creative design deliverables across web-based and/or mobile platforms. Designs should:
- Address high-level interaction, navigation, and organization across one or more assigned platforms
- Enforce UX design consistency across platforms
- Satisfy user goals and optimize engagement
- Deliver designs for handoff to Engineering or for use in user research efforts, including such formats as wireframes, mock-ups, functional demos, presentations and comprehensively annotated specifications
- Work with the appropriate agile sprint team(s) in conducting user research efforts, including but not limited to: surveys, usability studies, design thinking sessions, and competitive research
- Revise and iterate designs and documentation based on continued user testing and feedback
- Present research findings and design work to peers, stakeholders and executives for review and feedback, articulating how design solution answers user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and other project facets
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline including Graphic Design, Human Factors, UX Design, HCI, Industrial Engineering OR Certificate in a UI/UX program and/or equivalent work experience preferred
Skills & Experience
- 5-8 years' experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, visual designer, or similar UX/UI-related role preferred
- Experience in a healthcare-related field a plus
- Experience with brand development and/or user research methods preferred
- Experience with design software preferred, including but not limited to:
- Adobe CS
- Axure
- InVision
- Sketch
- Zeplin
- Knowledge of eCommerce, mobile app, industry trends, and competitor innovations preferred
- Should be able to provide a portfolio/work examples that highlight research and design process
- Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams
- Ability to present and "sell" creative ideas to influence decisions
- Agile methodologies a plus
- Understanding of Design Systems preferred
- Extreme attention to detail
- High-level understanding of HTML & CSS a plus
- Knowledge of inclusive design principles, accessibility standards, and general design best practices a plus
- Knowledge of technical constraints and guidelines as they apply to designing for digital platforms, including web, iOS and Android a plus.
