At the head of multiple complex programs and projects, the Nursing Director of Risk and Quality will work to improve safety and clinical operations for the patients, the staff, and the entire community. Along with coordinating performance excellence initiatives and analyzing risk data, you will also be helping this healthcare system grow sustainably by providing proof of improvement and protecting the system from external issues.

Reporting to the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, and working in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, and other administrative staff, the Hospital Director of Quality Management and Risk will serve as the acute care medical center’s primary Compliance Officer and Chair of the Committee on Safety. A background in evidence-based practices, LEAN methodologies, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management could be strong tools for you to use.

The Director of Quality will have a crucial part to play in Regulatory functions as well. This person will oversee the Physician Peer Review process, will lead all TJC Accreditation and regulatory surveys, and you will ensure that the most current evidence-based practices are followed by the medical and staff. The Director will get to serve as a champion for Performance Improvement and a subject-matter expert for all thing Integrated Quality.
