Summary:
Develops training materials for Quality Department (Clinical Services and Quality divisions) and Operations Department. Promotes the use of technology to assist staff in making the best use of existing and emerging tools. Develops and maintains all internal and external collateral for Training programs and Community-facing education.
Responsibilities:
Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards Handbook.
Develops and designs courses and curriculum in collaboration with stakeholders on various subjects leveraging organizationally supported software and tools.
Creates computer-based training (CBT) modules and storyboards.
Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content.
Manages online learning communities.
Rigorous in analyzing, updating, and refining existing content and ensuring that content is of high quality and usability for optimal end-user experience.
Trains employees in how to use learning technologies and applies knowledge of end-user needs and issues to assist ITS staff with design of end-user interface as needed.
Keeps current on best practices in instructional design.
Writes scripts for video and audio content.
Works with the Quality and Marketing Departments to prepare infographics to visually display information to staff and the community.
Evaluates emerging training technology and tools.
Position in this classification may perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Education, Licensure and Experience:
Instructional design and curriculum development experience required.
Proven experience collaborating with project teams to turn clinical information into effective learning content.
Experience in storyboarding for eLearning or multimedia content.
Experience in developing high quality interactive eLearning modules.
Associates degree in computer-related discipline or related field is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Relevant experience and proven examples of work may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-to-year basis.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Topnotch internal customer service.
Understanding of adult learning techniques.
Experience with platforms, such as Adobe, iSpring, Canva, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues.
Critical thinking skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines.
Ability to develop and present computer-based training to a diverse audience.
