Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Creative Director the VP ACD Copy is a brand steward and inspiring leader who brings a fresh and thoughtful perspective to the creative product on your assigned accounts and our internal brand efforts. You are a builder and craftsman who excels at creative narrative and storytelling. You have a passion and skill to translate scientific information into promotional content that is on task and strategy. You are a fierce collaborator who will partner with scientific services, account and strategy as well as your direct reports to elevate our creative product.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with VP ACD, ART to produce standout and strategically focused concepts and campaigns for the agency and assigned brands
  • Keeps current on the latest award-winning advertising, film and graphic techniques, industry trends, plus media and technology innovations
  • Explores/develops/produces innovative and fresh concepts, in partnership with the creative and account teams, appropriate to the client's marketing strategy within the stated deadline and budget.
  • Brings knowledge of clients’ products, their marketing objectives, and the promotional activities of similar or competitive product campaigns.
  • Develops strong internal and external relationships with creative supervisors, art partners, and account counterparts.
  • Partners with colleagues and vendors, including illustrators, photographers, retouchers, science bureaus, computer design staff, editorial department, audio engineers, film editors, integrated producers, creative technologists, user experience architects, production managers, medical directors, marketing strategists, and account executives to ensure highest quality product within specified deadlines.

Job Requirements

  • 10 years of agency experience
  • Healthcare experience in promotional advertising/medical communications
  • Portfolio commensurate with the position
  • Ability to work well within a team setting and foster a healthy team environment
  • A proven track record of creative ability and judgment, successful client contact experience, the ability to work collaboratively with account management, excellent presentation skills, successful experience in managing creative teams and multiple accounts, and the commitment to go the extra mile in time and effort to produce the very best work
  • Travel: Some travel to NYC office and client meetings as needed but this role is mostly remote
