Overview:
We are seeking an HR Analyst to implement a PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to meet the human resource and benefit needs of NYS. This will be an on-premises PeopleSoft 9.2 Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation. It will incorporate several PeopleSoft HCM implementations that were put into effect using versions of PeopleSoft HCM that are no longer supported.
Description:
The HR Analyst will be responsible for reviewing highly complex HR business processes, activities, and conducting detailed analyses. Applies knowledge of multiple business areas to create solutions and implement them through the use of technology. This role oversees production support needs, perform system administration duties, and establish the quality assurance strategy to ensure efficiencies across all HR systems.
Duties:
- Testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities
- Perform analysis into root cause of problems, develop and implement efficient solutions and ensure proper governance is implemented to prevent reoccurrence
- Lead upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned
- Configurate and drive adoption of global best practices and standards.
- Responsible for providing proactive project management oversight and leading HR technology and reporting initiatives.
Mandatory Skills:
- 7 years of experience working as functional analyst/lead in PeopleSoft HCM modules as described above.
- Demonstrated experience working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders to analyze their needs and define functional requirements.
- Exemplified advanced knowledge in understanding business requirements, processes, and implementation approaches.
- Experienced in mapping business requirements to the delivered PeopleSoft functionality and articulating and documenting fit-gap analyses and solutions.
- Proven experience in test planning and execution.
- Expert level knowledge in PeopleSoft HCM module setups and configurations (including setup and control tables).
- Experience as Peoplesoft HCM functional lead in a minimum of two PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM implementation projects (in PeopleSoft modules specified above).
- 4 years of experience in configuring workflow using PeopleSoft Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
- 3 years of experience in analyzing and applying PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) images.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build positive working relationships.
- Comprehensive understanding of PeopleSoft HCM.
- High-level analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to analyze complex information structures involving multiple layers of data and workflows.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
