The Account Based Marketing Manager (ABM) owns the company’s account-based marketing strategy, and leads and builds programs consisting of multi-touch, multi-dimensional campaigns including both inbound and outbound tactics as well as managing 3rd party vendors to meet pipeline requirements of customer and account-specific programs. This person will also responsible for planning, organizing, executing and owning customer-focused marketing programs that generate and advance qualified leads for the sales team within specific, customer and targeted accounts and contacts.
Role Responsibilities
Develop and implement target account strategy to support and accelerate account-based demand generation programs to achieve sales pipeline goals.
Create annual and quarterly demand generation customer-focused plans to uncover and accelerate existing opportunities and for targeted accounts focusing on new logos; consistently communicate and educate sales teams on new and planned demand generation and account-based programs.
Work closely with sales team to identify and upsell/cross sell opportunities and develop tactics and programs to maximize this revenue.
Own customer-focused demand generation strategy and manage all customer and account-based programs including plans/briefs, tactics, program calendars, content development and performance metrics.
Interface with sales teams to determine sales enablement needs, and work with product marketing, and others within/external, to develop tools, training and content.
Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas; oversee a database of named accounts to align demand generation and sales in defining target audiences required to achieve account goals.
Work with sales to identify gaps in key personas in strategic accounts; develop and own data and insight strategy to add key personas/contacts within accounts.
Identify opportunities to improve demand generation effectiveness through enhanced segmentation, customer-focused and account-based tactics, and overall processes.
Communicate performance, trends and pivots required for all customer and account-based demand generation programs.
Role Requirements
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a software, SaaS/PaaS or ERP B2B ABM, demand generation, or field marketing role.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications, or comparable education and experience.
Best in class ABM and demand generation experience with a B2B software company with proven track record of executing innovative and effective programs.
Ability to translate technical details into easy to digest demand generation messaging.
Attention to detail and discipline to follow established policies and processes.
Solid experience creating and executing integrated ABM and demand generation campaigns.
Track record and ability to develop and manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
Strong understanding of how to use account-based and inbound marketing to generate qualified leads.
Familiarity with software sales cycles and how to deploy demand generation communications strategies to nurture leads, drive adoption, and accelerate growth.
Working/advanced knowledge of Hubspot, 6sense and Salesforce.
