What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of ESG position at Cloudflare?
What you'll do
- Work cross functionally with the Legal, Finance, Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, the People Team, and executive leadership to advance Cloudflare’s comprehensive ESG-related efforts for all stakeholders
- Communicate our culture of long-term sustainability and transparency to the investment community using rigorously-measured KPIs and qualitative proof points
- Form an in-depth understanding of ESG capital formation trends and institutional investor evaluation process
- Help create and monitor KPIs that measure environmental impact as well as diversity, inclusion, and equity performance
- Educate internal business partners on emerging issues and investment community concerns related to sustainability and ESG compliance
- Manage a complex ecosystem of ESG industry frameworks and external scoring systems
- Perform peer benchmarking related to ESG disclosures and coordinate data collection requests from ESG industry analysts
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- 10 years of experience in an ESG or sustainability role
- Working knowledge of ESG standards and frameworks such as SASB and TDFD
- Proven ability to work cross functionality in a high-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Buy-side Capital Markets experience is a plus
