About the Department

Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, and Sales Operations - all working together help our customers adopt Cloudflare and create great Internet-enabled experiences. The sales team at Cloudflare helps customers solve real, technical problems while creating the revenue streams that help the company provide free service to millions in our community.

What you’ll do

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our Named Account Sales Team responsible for covering large Mid-Market accounts in the SF Bay Area. The Named Team focuses on our largest size of prize & high growth accounts in the Mid-Market. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at all levels within network operations, development and technical infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive & execute against plan managing complex opportunities in the SF Bay Area territory
  • Develop long term strategic relationships with key accounts 
  • Ability to earn trust with executive leadership at our highest growth accounts
  • Build a robust sales pipeline through continual engagement and nurturing of key prospect accounts
  • Be technically curious and understand how Cloudflare technology fits into a platform customer’s infrastructure
  • Work cross-functionally internally with customer success, solution engineering, product management, and engineering 
  • Align with Channel partners on a GTM strategy
  • ~25% travel

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • 4 years of direct B2B selling experience
  • Experience selling network security and/or CDN solutions a plus
  • Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles
  • Track-record of exceeding quota
  • Strong understanding of computer networking and “how the internet works”
  • Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous start-up environment
  • Track record of collaborating effectively with different functional areas to get the job done
