What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Engineer position at Clover Leaf Solutions?
Clover Leaf is looking for an experienced Data Engineer with software development experience to support a long term project with the State of New Mexico. We are seeking someone with significant data modeling, architecture and reporting experience to work with project software developers on the data engineering functions. We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team and individually.
The perfect candidate will have broad expertise or unique knowledge, use skills to contribute to development of technical objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. In addition the following capabilities are necessary:
- Analyze data requirements and develops appropriate architecture.
- Has in depth experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL processing.
- Can perform data modeling, analysis, and develop quality reporting.
- Knowledge of C# is desired but not critical.
- Interact with other team members to meet project goals and objectives.
- Work with customers and end users to understand requirements, coordinate resources, monitor timeline, and plan, track, and execute project plan.
- Be able to work on unusually significant, unique or complex issues, and provide solutions that are creative and where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
- Has impact on success of future concepts, products or technologies.
- Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets. Assignments are often self-initiated and virtually self-supervisory.
- Provide technical direction and/or coordinates activities of other personnel.
- Use independent judgment for determining course of action to accomplish objectives.
- Use wide latitude in the methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Work independently and/or with the Scrum Team on Projects.
- Provide knowledge transfer to Technical staff.
Education
- Position typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
